BAF observes ex-Air Chief Bashar’s martyrdom anniv

Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) observed 45th martyrdom anniversary of former Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Khademul Bashar and Squadron Leader Mofijul Haque on Wednesday with due solemnity.

Air Vice Marshal Bashar possesses the dignity for commanding the 6th sector during liberation war of Bangladesh.

BAF remembers this freedom fighter for his glorious contribution to achieving independence and building of Bangladesh Air Force with due respect and honour.
It is mentionable that Khademul Bashar and Mofijul Haque were martyred on September 1 in 1976 in a same tragic air crash.

On the occasion, a milad mahfil was arranged maintaining health guidelines at the central mosques of all BAF Bases and Units.

A special munajat was also offered seeking divine blessings for salvation of the departed souls and for the continued peace and prosperity of the country.

Senior BAF officers, airmen and civilians were present at the programme. Besides, BAF Base Bangabandhu organised a doa and fatiha at the graves of the martyrs.
