Maximum 20 devotees in Tarabih, regular prayers

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued four-point instructions to perform prayers in the mosque from April 14 to until further orders to combat the coronavirus.

A maximum of 20 worshipers including Khatib, Imam, Hafez, Muazzin and Khadem will be able to take part in Tarabi and regular prayers, five times a day, said the ministry.

Juma prayers have to be performed maintaining social distance and health rules, it said.

The instructions also include a request to pray for Allah’s mercy and deliverance from danger through recitation and remembrance in the holy month of Ramadan.

Local administrations, law enforcement agencies, Islamic Foundation officials and the mosque’s management committee have been asked to implement the directives.
